Torah Observant Christian Gentile I was raised up a Christian and I was introduced to Jewish interpretation of the Torah in 2008. I am now practicing kosher diet and Shabbat. I publish Torah portions on my Facebook and Blogger. I still consider myself as Christian because I study the New Testament link to the Tanakh and still attend Christian worship services the day after Shabbat. Most of my Christian friends question why I choose to return to Old Testament law but I think that the Torah gives instructions for a prosperous and successful life (Deu 2. There are difficulties in following Torah in the Philippines like what to eat during Passover (unleavened diet) and avoiding to celebrate Easter and Christmas and the lack of Jewish teaching. Like I just discovered the Amidah last week and have been reciting it standing up three times a day privately and secretly in my home. I attend a congregation that meets every Erev Shabbat and Saturdays. The members there are mature Christians that cannot find answers in their Christian churches. We find answers in the Torah, the law of Moses hidden and misinterpreted by our Christian pastors and leaders as obsolete. And we practice the instructions as best as we could in a Gentile world. I went to Jerusalem last year during the Feast of Tabernacles and stayed there for a month. This is my picture with the Menorah near the kotel.
