Splotkin, 72

I was a world traveling adventurer sailing on a geophysical research vessel. I returned to Amherst area, after a decade. I met my wife and we started a homestead together. We then adopted a daughter, a native American daughter in an emergency situation. After a long bout of cancer, during our 24 year marriage she past. Before we met, she travelled to visit relatives in Israel. We had wonderful times, hosting a "sedar" for many friends. The joke was"plenty of friends and food, but not enough kitchen. We were not strictly Jewish but were very spiritual. The Rabbi and his wife from the umass chabad house were our sources of questions about faith. We did celebrate the high holidays, and taught our daughter about being Jewish, as well as discussing her cherokee heritage.

I am starting to want to meet new friends. I have been keeping to myself since her passing. I want a friend to go out for an occasional diner, maybe some music. I love road trips, after our wedding we drove to the pacific northwest mainly camping. I am now retired and am hoping to travel again. I have some medical issues that effect my mobility but I am working on that. I have mainly gone out with Jewish women and have always found a happy medium between the different levels of our observance. I will state that I am not keeping kosher, but can cook most of the traditional foods. I hope you will consider having a short conversation to start. M7
