Jewish Girl in the Bible Belt - HELP! I don't know i many of you are aware but it is extremely difficult for Jewish people to find partners in the Bible Belt. Well let me tell you not only is it difficult to find a partner, you can't find a decent bagel with nova and cream cheese on Sunday, or any good Jewish foods. I came here to take care of my mother, my entire family is Jewish she had to come here because her s/o is a podiatrist and due to Hurricane Andrew in Miami joined a partnership over here in Tuscaloosa AL with him. No hurricanes here! But living on the coast in Florida both sides for most of my life, born in New York (Long Island), I'm just not used to having my entire life revolving around "church". That is how it is here pure and simple. There are maybe 90 Jewish families here, the singles go to the U of Alabama and are in their late teens and 20's. College town. T-town as the call it. But not for me that is for sure. I cannot meet anyone of my faith and even though I'm not religious there are circumstances that caused me not to be. I would love to have someone that understands my faith, our ways, our holidays, and MY family. The first question my mother always asks me is WHAT???? Of course Is He Jewish? What else does a Jewish mother say? I enjoy a lot of different things, I am a writer of self-esteem books for children all ages, I am an event coordinator well before I had to come and take care of mom. Like to get back into doing it again. And where the heck are you???
