Yissa, 42

Born in the gateway to the west. Raised all over the state of Colorful Colorado. I had a less than normal education. Instead of going to school I spent my days barefoot in the backyard, reading as many books as I could, Including the dictionary and 3 sets of encyclopedias, Drawing, Painting, Discovering things in unexpected places, climbing trees, and hosting a pretend radio show (I still have the tapes). I did go to hebrew school for 9th and 10th grades, so it wasn't all fun and games in the trees. I now spend my days Painting, reading, dancing, laughing (and sometimes snorting) in the face of adversity, Petting my cats, Day dreaming, night dreaming and Living life, drinking bubble tea,writing bad poetry, studying Zen], kabbalah (not the madonna red bracelet wearing kabbalah water drinking kind) and Meditation, wanting to go to the opera, arguing on occasion (I'm Jewish and a Taurus...and I'm just grouchy sometimes), Not wearing shoes (ha! take that civilized society!!), loving, caring, cooking vegan food, and growing older (and hopefully wiser too). A lot of people say I'm intimidating until they talk to me and find out I'm a huge nerd. My dream is to buy some land somewhere (maybe in North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, South Carolina, Oregon, or Colorado), and build an earthship home under the trees. I want to grow my own food, unfortunately I tend to kill plants.

I'm sort of a hippie. I'm earthy. I hug trees. But at the same time I don't really fit a stereotype (nor would I want to). I might wear a patchwork hippie dress one day and then the next day dress like a pin up with red lips, and then the next I look like I should be living in an alley somewhere digging bottles out of trashbins. I'm like a Jackson Pollock painting, the same painting, but every time you look at it you see something new.

I'm looking for someone who's interested in some of the same things.
