It's interesting... I din't know that Kabbalah had Jewish origins... I started with numerology, then I bumped in to Kabbalah... Several days later, I met a Jewish boy and as we talked I learned that Kabbalah was part of the Jewish lifestyle. There are no casualties of course, and that's how I started going to Shabbats and so on. Because I understood then why I had the need to look for signs. I have not studied Kabbalah but I will love to, I would also love to learn Gematria and Hebrew so I can actually do the other things.. lol

.Kabbalah in it's original state was a very sacred set of writings, permitted to only those that were thoroughly versed in Torah. Now it is taken on as a fad, and has become popularized by people like Madonna. How can ever expect to understand Jewish Mysticism if you do not understand the source of the mysticism. Understand, I am not critizing you. But before you go into the lore, please go to the source first, you then have a better understnading of what you are reading, and more importantly, studying

`I agree Avroom45. Hollywood Kabbalah is irritating to me..red strings, Kabbala water and all. New fad for rich people, or ones turning it into a form of magik.
